"Sources said WB had asked to pull the spots [for The Dark Knight Rises] at least for the next few days and is expected to be in touch with its media partners in the coming days about its long-term plans. TV and radio promotion for the pic, naturally, would be heaviest during its opening weekend."
For a movie to generate this much buzz and revenue for a midnight showing can only be epic for the studios. While it may be a difficult decision to put money in jeopardy, it is only right for Warner Bros. to pull their spots to pay respect to those whose lives have ended in this horrible massacre.
