A helpful post in the OmniFocus forums led me to this setting. Here's my scenario — most of the projects I partake in at work are either one or all of the following:
- Short in terms of duration
- Constantly changing in terms of details
- Extremely high priority
So to avoid dropping the ball, I change the review time for these projects to "Review every 1 day" in order to keep a pulse on it. However this becomes a problem because by default, it will be set to "Review every 1 week". What I normally do during my nightly review1 is not only review the actions of the project, but make sure the review time is at a duration that is appropriate.
Problem is, I won't get to change the review time of that project until a week comes up. Sure I can manually review the project on my iPad by tapping and holding on the project title bar and select "Review" — but this becomes tedious. So what the Omnigroup Support Ninjas sent forum user "Colums" is a way to change the default review time.

The item to change is the last part right after the @. In the example above, 4w = 4 weeks. I changed mine to 1d for daily. Just put that URL into Safari on either OS X or iOS and launch it — this will then change the default setting.
This makes reviewing projects a lot better for me — even if I don't want to see it daily as I can always change the duration when it comes up.

I do nightly reviews instead of weekly. ↩
