Marco Arment posts his expectations on the iPad mini. In the post he weighs in on the two possibilities of the iPad mini being what he logically expects it to be given the specs on paper — or the possibility that the form factor, convenience, and philosophy behind it will "wow" him past the hardware downsides — similar to what the MacBook Air has done in the past.

I have the same hopes and expectations with the iPad mini as Marco. I feel that the size and convenience of it will prove more useful in my work and waiting-for-a-tire-change scenarios where the full-sized iPad will serve perfectly for entertaining my daughter and as my "Command Center" during NFL Sundays. Even though I've owned an iPad since the launch of the original, I still feel a little embarrassed whipping it out in public1. But I still can't shake the non-retina screen on the iPad mini — or as Marco states:

"Eww!"
